Oh man, that’s completely uncalled for, I’m sorry you’ve experienced that 😔 This is Twitter for crying out loud, not official documentation that needs to be corrected. I hate language snobs.

I’m in the UK, enjoying a night off from parenting as he’s on a sleepover at the grandparents 😃

I said other because I do eat meat but because my digestive system is sluggish meat often gives me terrible indigestion, so it’s a rare treat rather than a staple. But I’m not vegetarian, by any means, even though I eat a mostly vegetarian diet.

It sounds fascinating, I just can’t imagine it because it would be my kind of nightmare trying to keep track of characters with no names 😂

I also have a supporting character called Osgar, who is really fun to write. I named him back in 2010 when I first started plotting the book. I had my son in 2011 and called him Oscar. Hadn’t realised they were so close until I finally re-read the draft years later 😂

Oh, that’s interesting. How does that work? How do you refer to them without names?

Argh, sounds like a terrifying place to start - I’m assuming she gets out, of she’s the MC?

Mine is Bethia. It originally came from Beith, the Ogham character relating to the birch tree. I played around with the word until I came up with a name that felt right for the character. I’ve just found out the Latin name is betula which has the same rhythm 😊

Alfie Kohn’s Unconditional Parenting! I read it whilst working as a PA for an Early Years’ Consultant when O was a toddler. It gave me the confidence to follow my instincts with parenting O in a gentle manner, and recently the Senco commented how calm we always seem 😊

Hey , how do you make sure your world is believable? Mine is set in a Pagan society, where Abbeys play a major role. My sister (a history teacher) suggested I watch Tudor Monastery Farm, and I’m making so many notes as it’s so helpful.

Oh I love this so much - as a linguist, as a writer, and as a Christian, this all makes my heart sing with joy 😊

It is shocking how expensive uniforms are. My Grandma couldn’t attend a certain school when young because of uniform cost, and I feel like that is a choice we’d face if his uniform cost over £350 😱 as it is we only manage costs with my mum’s help & it’s nowhere near this much!

Non-fiction wise I’ve bought books by and (I’m sure there are more non-fiction books I’ve bought by people I follow, but I can’t seem to remember any others right now).

Fiction-wise I’ve bought Getting Over Jesse Franklin by and Coming Up Roses & Wildflower Bay by Rachael Lucas (who I can’t seem to tag). Not my normal genre of choice, but wanted to support them both and ended up really enjoying all of the books 😃

[gifted] Starting the day with this delicious apple pie smoothie from ’s amazing book ‘Get Your Kids To Eat Anything’. I feel like it needs the additional tagline, “making food fun for ALL the family” as I’ve never enjoyed trying new recipes this much 😊

My heart sunk when I saw Dick Van Dyke trending. I’m so happy this is the reason why. Brightened my day ☺️
