I’m not satisfied with being considered just someone who cooks professionally. (I also don’t work in a restaurant or a hotel). As chefs, we are positioned to be so much more. If there was ever a time to start thinking differently about what it means to be a chef, it’s now.

It’s unconscionable that White House & Dpt of Ed have politicized school reopening. I’ve heard from 100s of families/teachers over last few days, who have widely varying viewpoints - all of which are legitimate. What we need right now is empathy & grace, not heartless directives.
