Not sure if this is 'good news' as such, but it's news nonetheless

RT : Neighbour's cat seeking second breakfast thwarted by new microchip cat flap. 10/10 for palpable rage.

Met a new friend at the local hospital yesterday morning. Peep at her left ear, the cut means she got spayed already. Demanded head rub while rubbing her body against me. 10/10 for being very friendly and talkative

Excellent super soft floof, leg rubs a plenty. Folowed me home. Concerned for nascent tendencies, but would fuss again. 12/10...how could I not with those eyes

9/10 to this ginger kitty in Hampstead sporting tough guy expression on the doorstep. Appearances can deceive: she turned out to be a super friendly little girl

So Mr B. Cat we meet again. Fab to see you retain your clean sweep of 10/10s for darknesses, detachment and determination. One day scritches will be mine.

So Captain Floof, yet again our paths cross. Top marks all round against every conceivable cat criteria, particularly the 1000/10 for floofiness and scritchability.

2nd of Junior cats in Shandri's house is Hunter. Petite, agile and love-seeking. She's given up bringing her prey indoors, as they're not appreciated enough by humans, leaving them in the garden/trophy area instead. Full points for chat & social skills.

My lucky partner met this adorable cutie on the way to work. Very friendly, lots of meows and really affectionate. 11/10 for snazzy fur and collar coordination, 100/10 for brightening up his workday. Would stroke again.

This is Steve. He was tormented in his previous home, so he left and moved in with one of my neighbours. Here he is tormenting one of my dogs. 10/10 for good sense and chutzpah.❀️

Look at this beautiful cat who was chilling in a plant pot but jumped up for scritches and gave my hand a little wash. Extra points for beautiful jade-green eyes. 11/10.

Recovering after an operation, attentive vineyard chat... Non plus about the start of harvesting the grapes shortly. Has a sick note...

. got home late from work, but got rewarded by meeting this beauty in the park. I stared at her for too long so she came over demanding snuggles in exchange for some pictures.

Super friendly Greek village cat cops all the strokes as his shy pal looks on warily. But we had no treats to dole out - so who is the fool now? 10/10 for the cognitive dissonance at the heart of dialectical materialism.

. the not-so-feral feral cat who comes and hangs out with us. 11/10 for big panther eyes and grudgingly letting us stroke his back
