Individually yes. They’re all just medium paced mids. Their entire team. They’d all be valuable in other teams, just not all in one.

Talented no doubt. But they’ve got 18 players who are clones. 6ft2 medium paced midfielders who can’t take a contested mark.

Surely Toby Greene up the field is a no brainer when GWS are playing this bad?

I think the barriers made a huge difference to be fair.

Amazing. It’s a horse that ticks a lot of boxes. But it also might not be much good.

We’ve received some comments asking his opinion on Farnan so here you go

At the 800m, Farnan would've been about 0.25L in front of Sweet Deal (r8)/~1L in front of Haut Brion Her (1st). He went hard, sure, but wasn't the difference b/w winning & losing. Surprised he was suspended. Hopefully doesn't dent jockeys' confidence in being proactive going fwd.

Exactly. Not sure they’d know what they were looking at. Bowman has appealed and it will be reduced no doubt

Van Gestel stated they assessed Daily Sectionals and “the race was run 12 lengths faster than average.” I’d expect the best horses in the country to run above average. No mention of the other 1200m race on the same program.

Exactly right. So a jockey made an error (in their opinion). Huge ban for an error.

My question to you is were there integrity concerns with Bowmans ride? Surely not. Was it an error of judgement, probably. If we ban jockeys on errors of judgement there’d be no jockeys left.

Start penalising mistakes and there’d be no jockeys left.

That’s a great point. Incredibly harsh penalty for a mistake. If it is anything more than a mistake, investigate and throw the book at them. There’s several jockey errors in every race.

Good mate, as you’d expect & want to see. Can’t knock him. Flies fresh

Why are stewards telling jockeys where they should be? Just focus on things that actually matter.
