A power outage on Sunday interrupted the previous Citrine continuous run. We've started a new run this morning:

A third repo, tentatively named TFB, would orient a newbie to the these other two, pointing contributors to the TFB-Frameworks repo for most contributions. This "root" repo could also contain the docs and holistic/meta issues about the project.

Because this is in the realm of computer science, a hard part is naming. We are considering TFB-Frameworks for the repo that contains test implementations and TFB-Runner for the repo that contains the benchmarking toolset. These are selected for "obviousness" to newbies.

To better facilitate running a previous round at a later time, we are in progress on splitting our GitHub repo into component parts of (a) the test implementations and (b) the toolset that runs the benchmarks. Most contributors would be interested in (a).

The Citrine physical hardware environment is now running on Ubuntu 18.04. (Previously, Citrine was running CentOS.) There is a new Ubuntu-hosted run now in progress:

Separately, we are interested in indicating verified implementations, where applicable.

I just posted a wiki entry on the work in progress hardware performance measurement (tentatively called TPR). Check it out.

Changed the name to "TPR," corrected the bar chart colors, applied selected filters, adjusted the math (normalized to JSON now, rather than plaintext).

And it's been merged today! Changes from previous years: 🔹New JSON library (malloc-less) 🔹Per-thread database connection (still not connection pool) 🔹Various other changes & optimizations in Lwan itself (details: )

We are switching the Citrine hardware environment to Ubuntu 18.04. The current run is going to be interrupted imminently. The last complete run on CentOS is

Also, we will be doing some work to synchronize each Azure run to the most recent Citrine run. Without this, Azure would just use the most recent code, which may have seen commits since the most recent Citrine run started.

Naming trivia. Citrine is the name of our physical environment and pairs with our Azure cloud tests. Both are colors.

This is still a work in progress, but the following is the first Azure run to complete with continuous benchmarking automation for Azure. Note that Azure won't run as often as Citrine runs. Our goal is at least once per month.
