What does it mean when white museum "leaders" who didn't share space, who pretended to cede power, who facilitated unfair labor, now position themselves as architects of the "new normal" (This is rhetorical I know what it means, same shit different day)

We’re working to raise an additional $5,000 by August 15 to keep our members strong in spite of the loss of the $600 pandemic relief, and in spite of everything the museum has done.

On March 13, the Tenement Museum closed. Part-time workers have been furloughed without pay since then, all the way up to our firing in July 24. On March 13, the Tenement Museum Union was already at work creating our Mutual Aid Fund. Now we need your help.
