It was 47.7c/117f in Western Sydney today. Without significant rainfall (did I mention we're in the midst of a major drought?) they're expected to continue burning for weeks to months.

(The fire fighters are local community volunteers. These legends have been not showing up to work for *weeks* now to protect their community, despite being unpaid.)
