I think there is always an inherent transition from the periphery, to legitimate peripheral participation as they enter into the community. Why can’t people find and make their niche in scholarship? Does every member need to do the same work?

Confession: anesthesia training did not transfer to EM as much as I expected. Let's throw away the term "difficult airway" when referring to ED intubations. They are all suboptimal & require a different 1st approach vs the O.R. This paper = amazing start:
