Looks like we picked the right tree to put this trail camera on! Rub trees are like the social media of the bear world. But instead of memes and selfies, you just smell someone else's butt. (They use them to mark territory / communicate).

All three pics were taken less than one minute apart. The moose rut is getting close. Cow with her yearling, she hears something coming up behind her & here he comes.

Are you headed out to Cypress Hills for some mountain biking? It’s more than worth the trek from Med Hat!

I’ve had a camera at this spot for a year, and finally an adult cougar decides to stop by for the first time. Maybe because this spot is now being frequented by an elk herd with calves in tow?

Thanks for sharing my trip recap from Burstall Pass. This would make a pretty amazing autumn hike to view some of those golden Larches!

It was basic bike maintenance day in Outdoor Ed this afternoon. All my students learned how to properly patch a tube, skills most didn’t have prior to today. All in preparation for our mountain biking trip in a couple of weeks!

A great hike for the fall months, this hidden hot spring in Kananaskis offers all the views, and is a great location for a quick soak. Although the hike is quick, the way across to this special spot can be quite daunting! 📷 | |
