Absolutely. I've argued for that form of organization a lot. Sadly we very rarely see that but efforts that turn out to be somewhat unsustainable.

People get so upset about automated block lists. I understand! I too prefer handcrafted, artisanal blocking random people I have never interacted with that say repulsive things in other people's mentions over mass produced lists.

Forcing content on people that they explicitly do not subscribe to is the least Twitter thing Twitter could do. Being able to define one's subscriptions is the killer feature of Twitter.

you are not. Hackers often have a weird fascination for authorities. They love helping the police or government. It's a super strange phenomenon (even stronger in Germany)
