Also stories of early Christian Saints are full of women suffering in horrible and creative ways. St Margaret was swollowed by a dragon! St Cristina suffering is celebrated in a way the boarders on ergotism!

: Storytellers In ancient Celtic culture, laws and the history of the people were memorized into long poems rather than written down. They were then recited by storytellers/historians known as seanchai. They were well-respected bc their memories were insane.

It’s St. Bridget’s day tomorrow. A man once told Bridget that her fair eyes would make sure she got a husband if she liked it or not. So she plucked out her own eyes and his eyes exploded!

Tomorrow is Imbolc, Celtic Festival celebrating the midpoint between winter a spring. If it’s a fair day don’t be fooled, it means the winter hag is gathering more firewood to keep her going and we’re in for a longer winter.
