Indeed, although the vendors would have to support said pigeons. Knowing that the vendors' implementations won't be restricted to http definitely makes it something to root for.

Would an ELI5 of GraphQL native be that rather than acting as a proxy and firing off resolved to another backend, the backend already speaks GraphQL? Well...that but written by someone who makes better word.
