For the record Muslims tend to bury over older graves and all, so by the time someone says a graveyard is full... they mean it’s full. We don’t even have coffins, it’s as eco-friendly as it can get based on what’s religiously permissible.

Keep on getting stories about men/boys who are considering me for marriage but do not have the guts to come up and tell me. I’m glad. You second guessing yourself means you understand my worth

My rant today: • Not every coasterian is swahili • Taitas are not mijikenda🙄 • Not everyone from the coast lives in Mombasa or 20 min from a beach. It’s an ‘area’ 79,686.1 km sq. for gaadsake. • The Taveta are a completely different tribe from the taita, and yes, they exist.

It is not only by writing our own stories do we clear the bias but also by sharing our perspective of what is theirs. You can decide to use the same tone they used for us or a more enlightened one

Chaos in troubled Western European island kingdom as several key regime figures are purged by the strongwoman leader. Market analysts warn that the increased political instability is a bad sign for an already volatile country.

The moment you start with saying that ‘Swahili seems to have originated in East Africa’ we can smell the bias from oceans away. Seems? SEEMS? For those interested dissected it. I just didn’t have the energy for this poorly researched, incoherent article

Apparently this article was supposed to ‘broaden our understanding of culture’ but the piece just sounded like someone was bitter that an African community can have such a rich history and went on to discredit the existence of an entire group of people.

Sufuria za shags ndio hukuwa the real definition ya inner beauty. Nje zimekula moshi ya kuni huwa zinasuguliwo side ya ndani pekee zikioshwa lakini ile chakula hutoka hapo ni hatari.
