Preliminary postmortem results show • prolonged hunger, stress may have worsened Nora Quoirin’s internal bleeding • she died 2 -3 days before she was found, “not more than 4” • no evidence of rape • scratches on legs didn’t contribute to her death

The findings as tweeted were what police read out at the news conference, as per earlier tweets in thread, & neither they nor I meant what you interpreted from it. It was a related fact but not put forth as the sole basis. Hope that clarifies. Thanks

Missed this in the English translation: NS police chief said Nora Quoirin had “internal bleeding from a ruptured *ulcer* in her intestine” - which was likely caused by prolonged starvation or stress.

That may not have been your intention but this is my response to everyone questioning the ability of doctors here to be able to tell if someone has been sexually assaulted, or their abilities in general. Many comments aren’t based on anything other than stereotypes. Thanks.

It is one thing to question the police process, transparency etc - all valid questions. But to question the qualifications of Malaysian doctors and scientists for no reason other than them being Malaysian is another.
