Because I will tell you truthfully, that my American privilege protects me from the abuses that African men (incited by their women) and Islamic personnel, wish they could perform on me in full force. Though, I have Egyptian Muslim women and men, who would protect me, as well.

As an Arab man, it is very important that you examine your own gender, religious, and racial privileges from your region of the world. This allows for a more inclusive narrative.

Also, there is still slavery happening in Africa, and the Arab world. And there are Arab and African people slowly starting to speak about this.

African men who marry Arab Muslim women, feel that this makes them superior to other Black people. It's time that we have conversations about the entire picture. Not just the dialogue, which is popular.

In France (and the U.K.), there are no-go zones, where police can't even go. I can tell you numerous times when Muslim Arab women tried to exert dominance over me, and were surprised when I fought back.

Despite my friendships with particular Muslim women, I can attest that there is great prejudice and mistreatment by Muslims against non-Muslims. There is racism. And I have witnessed Black Africans, who are Muslim, demonstrate notions of "superiority" and dominance over Africans

African men are extremely sexist, and have no problem performing abusive practices against Black American women, as myself; often being incited to do so by their own women.

Dear Mr. Beydoun, I can tell you that as a Black American woman living, working, and studying in Africa (Egypt), that Africa and the Islamic world have a lot of work to do in cleaning out their own closets.
