It’s shining lovely here too. I had to de-ice my car this morning tho to get the boy to college. I’ve got the house to myself for another hour so my music is on loud & I’m sat next to the window trying to do some drawing. Then I’ll go & sit down for a bit with my hot water bottle

Morning all. I’m off to do some posting today as I’ve got to drop the boy in at college for his (once a week) four hour lesson. Hoping it won’t be busy. I still feel so weak and am in so much pain. Just been chatting to some likewise sufferers who have exactly the same issues.

And that they do a lot. She won’t want to put it on her head when she comes down from her shower. Ive just refilled it and it’s scorchingly warm. 😀

My daughter just took my u-shaped hot water bottle and stuck it on her head. She now looks like she’s one of the Teletubbies - especially as the fill caps sticks up at the top. At lunch my son came downstairs with his running bottle on his head. Strange children.

I don’t blame people for not understanding. I can’t even explain how I feel half the time. If you don’t suffer you just can’t get it I suppose.

I’ve done mounting up & packaging this morning. I’m in so much pain again now tho it’s horrid. Gonna take some painkillers, give it a bit and see if I can draw at all later. I have commission deadlines to meet! In the meantime I’m getting my hot water bottle!

Mounting & packaging up a couple Pet Portraits before I get tea. This is how they get sent out: firstly in a polybag with board. Then sandwiched between sheets of foamboard with some gold tape & my sticker. Then they are wrapped in bubblewrap before I put them into a mailbag.

I’ve drawn a few portraits for people in the past and they’ve not even offered me anything for it - or any gifts etc as a thank you. It’s so insulting to all my time and effort etc.

That’s not on.I’ve had lots of ‘friends’ say oh can you just draw me my 3 dogs or can you draw a family member - they don’t want to pay anything. I’m beginning to have more self belief & worth. It’s hard, but I know my skills have come on so much so that needs to be reflected too
