98% of them won’t install on modern iOS though, and even if you have an iOS 10 device still around there’s a good chance the apps will break in other ways. What a weird feature highlighting a bunch of Apple systemic failures

the emulator and syscall translation layers are both custom built, and would both need a lot of work to be able to run perf. and yes, :)

OK iSH, Linux on iOS, is absolutely fascinating. You can even install gcc inside it and compile code with varying success, and it exposes its rootfs as a filesystem provider for Files. Stunning work

Netflix has been updated to support the latest iPad Pros. Wasn't ready for launch, but thankfully it didn't take long. Here's the 11-inch. No more black bars.

Sometimes when I browse through my pictures, I can’t quite recall the circumstances of an event. I visualized how the Photos app could be improved to help add context to your memories:

that's all new as of iOS 11, so don't feel too bad. It's not like it's well-explained anyway

you pick it up, swap back to your running apps, and drop it on the side you want like you would an icon from the Dock

Do you have a suggestion for a visual SQL editor on iOS (iPad Pro)?

I kinda get that impression too, that there's a real divergence going on between the two userbases and the 'pro users' from one userbase aren't gonna be the same people who end up the 'pro users' of the other, and that gap is just going to get wider
