I should learn to spell the name correctly, its Tomasulo's Algorithm. First used by Robert Tomasulo in the IBM s390.

OK, lets try Monday. My draft is really rough, I would recommend reading up on: Algorithm-Tomosulo Datastructures-ROB,RAT,Reservation Station Links(+Pentium Pro, +CSE240A-MBT-L13-ReorderBuffer.ppt.pdf)

Sure, I am mainly focused on how to implement Tomosulo's algorithm. Thinking to split to two articles 1. history and high level pipeline architecture. 2. Dive into the the reservation station, register allocation table and order buffer. Meet next week?

It helps, I was also thinking conceptually. How to make complex diagrams simple?

I am getting back to work on the article about the openrisc out-of-order execution CPU; marocchino. Anyone have tips for making diagrams of complex systems?

Yes, the 中継 repeaters are split mode as well. I realize the frequency is way different from cb. I was wondering what is the equivalent of this in US, I don't require a license to get on these channels.

Does anyone know much about Japan radio spectrum? I and my daughter bought these transceivers here in Japan and they work great. They work at ~420mhz and have 20 kogo (交互) and 27 chukei (中継) channels. 中継 needs a repeater to work. Is it analogous to CB in the US?

OpenRISC spec 1.3 is under final review. This release solidifies a few new instructions which have been expirimental up until now and adds several clarifications for the fpu and alu (rounding). If you have any feedback let me know.

That's an interesting read. It's before my time on openrisc. The gcc you talk about is a complete rewrite now. But I have experienced many similar debug adventures working on the platform.

Nice, just defer all free's to sometime in the future when you call free again. I like it.

I haven't, it looks interesting; do you know of any ISAs that specify them?

16-bit floats? OpenRISC fpu needs this :).

This is going to save a lot of time. I wonder how many man hours/days/years have been lost to Java developers adding \n" + " to create text blocks.

The wishbone bus is used by openrisc and 's tools are an important part to get peripherals connected to the CPU. Having these more automatic is great news.
