... add tomato puree to thicken as per preference. Plenty of variations from that base - can add mushrooms, courgettes, black olives, butter beans, harricote beans etc. Serve with rice, pasta, garlic bread or on its own.

Chicken and chorizo "spanish-style" stew. In dry frying pan on low heat warm up the chopped chorizo releasing the oil. Then add chicken breast pieces sealing it in the chorizo oil. Add to a saucepan of sweated down onions, garlic and sweet peppers. Season. Add can of tomatoes ...

Sorry Ste, was just musing to myself. Logistical nightmare for club to decide.

Hope he's well. Can't believe how jammy he was to get to see that game. Average score in Serie A at the time was 1-0.

At university had mate Dave doing history who spent an exchange term in Florence in 88. They had a study week in Siena while was there but he bunked off to Naples to watch Maradona. Feast your eyes on Napoli 8-2 Pescara:

I knew the advert you were referring to Martin without even clicking on the YT link. Seemed to be shown constantly in the 80s here in the UK and was also the first thing I thought of seeing Nick's original tweet.

This story was in The New Statesman yesterday lunchtime John following the PLP meeting to discuss options. They've lifted it and spun it.

One issue with the Christmas bubble Beth is it forces everyone who uses public transport to travel back from their bubble on the 27th as there are no trains on 26th. Do the railways have socially distanced capacity for this? Surely extending it to the 28th is much safer?

The Live Score app has the games - should be able to cast to your TV. Have watched a few Serie A games recently and quality is very good usually.

No, it's not. I've seen my family once since March which was to bury my father who died two days after his self-isolation ended and before I had a chance to see him, so I will travel. I just happen to think two days of socially distanced return trips would be safer.

I read a brilliant long form article on DB Cooper a couple of years back - thanks for the heads up as well. If I find the link I'll post it.

Not if you don't drive and it's a 2 hour train journey to your bubble. Doesn't feel particularly thought out.

So everyone has to travel back on the 27th (given no trains on the 26th) - that'll be fun. Will there be enough capacity?

Yep particularly terrible for "wet" pubs. At least restaurants will have an 11pm finish rather than the 10pm the North West had imposed.

Tier 2 before lockdown was greater than 100 per 100,000 in last 7 days. Reading was 160 last I looked.

Honestly mate don't spend more than £400ish. I'm still using an i3 laptop from 2013 for what you've described with no issues at all.
