Stephen Fry
Hurrah! At last we can kiss goodbye to the misery of popups asking us to like and give stars to their app... a small thing but pleasing

Apps are now only allowed to ask like… once per year and the new popups include the star rating in line. So I think worth keeping on.

Yay! But it’s going to be a while before all apps respect that setting. It’s currently a free-for-all in that regard.

Replaced by the garbage that pops up after you take a screen shot unfortunately.

That said, your favorite apps (that never did those popups) would probably love a Stephen Fry review! :-)

I understand why it's a really useful and important thing for devs, but the rate at which some do is awful

The App Store guidelines say they’re going to disallow custom prompts: (1.1.7). I suspect some leniency for a while.

Yes. But they also disallow advertisement push notifications but devs as big as Walmart do it with impunity.

I agree… but let’s remember ratings/reviews are a critical aspect of keeping app visible/viable on store (esp. for smaller developers).
