An excerpt from my new book « How we learn », on the 1st pillar of learning: attention modulates what we perceive and learn. With kudos to my mentor Mike Posner, attention pioneer, still very active in studying how brain connections change with training.

Can’t put this book down! A couple of gems below👇 “Selective attention can orient to the right or WRONG circuit...Those who attended to the overall shape of the words did not realize that the words were made of letters, even after three hundred trials.” 1/2

Réprimandez moins les élèves, complimentez plutôt les comportements positifs! Plus le rapport entre le nombre de compliments et le nombre de réprimandes faits par un enseignant augmente, plus les élèves sont concentrés sur leur travail.

What a shame ! EGI equipment has been and still is central to many of our EEG experiments, particularly for infant research.

An important paper indicating that populations of prefrontal neurons encode the contents of consciousness even in the absence of any requirement for report -- in good agreement with Global Neuronal Workspace theory.
