It’s hard to stay positive. I think news and social media breaks are important.

In the car with my 18yo daughter this afternoon. Daughter: What if 2020 isn’t just a bad year? What if it’s a bad decade? Me: No. No. No. Get out of my car right now. I will not listen to your nonsense. Daughter: But Mom, we’re moving. Me: Out! Now!

Bad Things that Haven't Happened Yet in 2020 *CMEs - capable of continent wide blackouts *Super Volcano - caused 3 out of 5 mass extinctions *Nuclear War - we have enough weapons to wipeout all urban areas *Asteroid - hard to see/predict when coming from the direction of the sun

Let me be clear: The voters should pick a President, and that President should select a successor to Justice Ginsburg.

We have lost one of the most extraordinary Justices ever to serve on the Supreme Court. Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s life and landmark opinions moved us closer to a more perfect union. And her powerful dissents reminded us that we walk away from our Constitution’s promise at our peril.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg stood for all of us. She was an American hero, a giant of legal doctrine, and a relentless voice in the pursuit of that highest American ideal: Equal Justice Under Law. May her memory be a blessing to all people who cherish our Constitution and its promise.

I just can’t stop thinking about how tired she must have been - holding the country up on her shoulders for so long even when the odds felt so long. She earned her rest with John Lewis and the other giants we’ve lost. It’s our mandate to carry on.
