Last night the world lost a lovely, funny man, who I had the pleasure to get to know these last two years. We doff our cap to Mr Barry Wilsher, who played Heslington in the story The Faceless Ones. Travel safe, old boy ♥️
An entry from the Guide to Doctor Who and its associated spin-offs, including Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures.

Sad another 60s Play School presenter joins the storychair in the sky. Do you have date of death please? I'm the author of two books & archivist Play School - I met him at his home in the early 90s, but he didn't want to be included in the 50th anniversary.

Checked my files and it was 1990 when I met Barry & his wife at their Hertfordshire home. He presented 30 programmes 1/3/65-10/6/66. I found pic in BBC cupboard & some1 mistakenly thought he was a musician when he was a presenter with Rick Jones, hence his caustic comment.
