How is Charlie Hebdo not blatant islamophobia? Thereโ€™s no satire in disrespecting an extremely oppressed minority. White liberals will call it freedom of speech but itโ€™s just repackaged white supremacy.

"After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time."

Interviewer asked me to name something I liked about myself and I said my eyebrows. That was 23 years ago and Iโ€™m still mortified.

When you see blatant Islamophobia 'legitimised' by people in power, knowing their words will influence the minds of the masses, you can't help but feel angry. I'm livid - so I'm taking this opportunity to promote my book and remind myself why I wrote it.

I love how โ€˜Maybe You Should Talk to Someoneโ€™: ๐Ÿ’ซ Reads like fiction. ๐Ÿ’ซ So far, Iโ€™m zooming through it. ๐Ÿ’ซ There hasnโ€™t been a dull moment. ๐Ÿ’ซ Itโ€™s delivering truth bomb after truth bomb: โ€œGo do what you envy.โ€ Thatโ€™s what your heart really wants.

This years nominees look amazing. So many great books. This is hands down the most inclusive list so far as well.

Unpopular opinion but I donโ€™t like that Jess didnโ€™t accept Nick as he is when they were in a relationship ... and only by the end of the series did she fully accept him. For that reason, Cece & Schmidt >> Nick & Jess. Unabashed and mutual acceptance and adoration ftw.

Who smiles at you freely, just seeing you lights up their face? Who regards you positively? Even when there are differences, they see you through the lens of grace... Who gives you attention for no reason other than that focusing on you gives them the opportunity to love?

The people in your age group who did not experience life altering trauma absolutely had an advantage over you, your brain was focused on survival and they were free to grow and develop. You may feel behind but it's because you were doing your best to survive.

Someone may need to hear this as much as I needed to. It's extremely common for trauma survivors to feel as though they are behind in life and to actually be "behind" other people in their age group. This is especially common for those who survived childhood/adolescent trauma.
