The most important arguments about democracy are in Hong Kong, the most important climate change fight is in Brazil, and the most important fights over corporate power are in Europe. In America, the political class on the left and right is consumed with its own shallowness.

Acknowledging that MLS players are accustomed to taking minutes off. Can’t blame the players for taking advantage of what the system gives them.

For those wondering what (Zack) Steffen's dig at MLS was during Saturday's post-match interview, it was the "you can't take a [single] play(s) off" quote. It was quick, but this is his first presser since returning to Europe.

Well, yeah. It’s a central feature in all great soccer. It’s called promotion and relegation. Removing it removes pressure. It’s not a PhD level point.

This ain't Olympic ping pong brother. And yes too slow. Games a joke make. Opening up franchise clubs like Burger King. There's no independent ownership and it's a confirmed retirement league. Rooney couldn't even retire there he hated it so much

I'd take mediocre for this USL season since every other year is last place for ... a franchise that was "promoted" to USSF D2 alongside the rest of USL Pro the year after they finished dead last in the Western Conference in 2016...

If market forces applied, MLS would be dead and gone - and the system would be open. They don’t apply. It’s a farce.

We were chanting “Bradley sucks” while he was berating the officials after the final whistle. If he can’t take that he needs to retire.

Was it specifically about yelling obscenities? I just used Bradley's past statements about our team against his sorry playing skills. It was, umm, more pointed than obscene. If he can't take hearing his own insensitive words yelled back at him, he should get out of the game.
