Friends! I have been in a bit of a cooking rut recently that's resulted in me spending far too much money on buying food out. Plz give me your fave recipes that don't have absurdly expensive ingredients! (I do have dietary stuff but dw, I can usually adjust for them myself)

I did my dissertation on , so I have a few thoughts about 's use of the term to describe the build up of camps on the US southern border. For those in a hurry, here's the take-home message: By any reasonable definition, these are concentration camps

Cis is not a slur. It's a globally recognised neutral term used in health and social services and academic research. It's used by the UN, WHO, NHS, NIH, in feminism, academia and liberation politics.

But Queens is by far the most active uni I've been to, and had the most space for radicals, which is hilarious bc it's literally called Queens. It seems the wankiest from the outside but I guess local politics, and the history of who reaches uni in NI have caused the difference?

But like having been at Dundee and now Strathclyde, Strath is a WAY more conducive place to radicalism, and that's with me being at least an arm's length from the SU in both. Even Dundee is too liberal-wanky, and the SU is v "neutral" careerism focused.

This is something I find v interesting because Queens in Belfast, which is almost as wankery as Edinburgh or St Andrews, actually *is* quite radical, or at least has been at various times, and is known for being a "hotbed of republicanism" and all that shite.

Yeah like it's obviously less efficient to have one that's on the whole time, but it would be good to have at least the manual option for when theres a blackout or you can't afford to top up the leccy for a day πŸ™ˆ
