If scientists were expecting efficacy below 90%+, and if the FDA was willing to approve a vaccine efficacy above 50%, and now we’ve got vaccines at 90%+ with a pretty small confidence interval, then why couldn’t approval have come earlier when the confidence interval was larger?

And that’s just dried eggless pasta from a box...if you’re talking about fresh pasta with eggs it must be even more

Fun fact: plain pasta actually has a lot of protein in it, a disproportionate amount relative to the calories if you consider your daily need to be 2,000 calories and 50 grams of protein

So I knew Keith Rabois got in trouble for shouting the homophobic slurs in college, I did not know that he is...married to a man? Gross. Should've kept repressing those feelings

I don’t make desserts at home cuz I live alone and that’s just a recipe for obesity. But I order it sometimes at restaurants. Which reminds me...I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Thanksgiving foods on a menu. Hmmmm I wonder why? 🤔

Yeah, I hear you, making stale bread (especially of the quality you need for stuffing) is extremely arduous and expensive. Surely that’s the reason you don’t make it and not that, say, the finished product is pretty subpar

Darrell’s food opinions are bad so I’m ashamed to say I agree with him. It’s not a performance, the food is just bad. You ever hear of anybody saying their family cooks a turkey every Sunday for dinner and leftovers throughout the week? Of course not, because it’s gross

It’s February 2023. A huge blizzard has New Yorkers stuck at home for the third straight day. The immunity-deniers spot their moment. They reach to craft a Fleet: “Um, SOME of us never stopped quarantining.”

Fun fact: it’s not until age 109 (or 108 for the weaker sex) that your chance of dying within the next year hits 50%
