LOCAL ELECTION LATEST The Ballymote-Tubbercurry count has concluded and thus the final three seats have been decided. Gerard Mullaney (Fine Gael), Martin Baker (Fianna Fáil) and Martin Connolly (Fine Gael) have all been elected.

LOCAL ELECTION LATEST There are three more seats to be decided. There is very little between the remaining four candidates, but there is one certainty - Sligo will have at least two more new faces in the next County Council by the conclusion of the Ballymote-Tubbercurry count.

LOCAL ELECTION LATEST Three councillors have been elected on the 7th count in Ballymote-Tubbercurry as Dara Mulvey (Fine Gael), Joe Queenan (Independent) and Michael Clarke (Independent) all retain their seats in Sligo County Council.

LOCAL ELECTION LATEST Fianna Fáil candidate Keith Henry has lost his seat in Sligo County Council. He is the second sitting councillor to lose his seat following the elimination of Seamus Kilgannon last night, also of Fianna Fáil.
