Like many others, I considered Tom Guinney both a friend & mentor. His impact life continues to be felt in whether it is the many restaurant entrepreneurs he trained or the beautifully restored building he helped save. Tom was a true champion of SLC.

Being a place of refuge is a core Utah value. As considers further cuts to the resettlement program (as far as ZERO) I urge ’s & to defend Utah values by keeping the program at a goal of 95k.

Have you checked your sprinkler system auto timer lately? Cooler days (finally!), longer nights, more precip mean less watering & more conservation! Remember: Rain ON? Water OFF. (Your wallet will thank you, too!)

It brings me joy to know that when clients enter the new Gail Miller Homeless Resource Center they will be served by incredible staff like these young women who are housing & intake specialists. This center is only a stop on a journey to a more stable life.

The new delineators will be permenant but the paint will fade over time. The city does allow for painted intersections now so hopefully in the future it will be maintained or replaced. The City is also preparing the whole area for upgrades as well.
