The Walton family of Walmart, the richest family in the world, made $100 million per day last year. I say to the Waltons: No more excuses. Pay your workers a living wage of at least $15 an hour.

So, the main reason for that is I am quite introverted and find that sort of thing difficult. Also, I'm not too fussed - It's only a social media account. I'm mainly on here to follow a few people who interest me, not to accumulate followers or post lots myself.

Don't see how 'Simon' is a silly user name. These things are fairly arbitrary after all. I didn't say 'I think we should do Brexit' I merely presented what I thought was a most pragmatic way forward, which has an option of Remain. The account creation date is pure coincidence.

Labour have offered such a confirmatory referendum after a new deal. I think organising an extension and a general election will test the limits of an interim government. I'm not sure that a second referendum would be able to be held as well. Besides, what would be on the ballot?

Brexit by now. No deal is not representative of the referendum, and is not the will of the people. It will be very damaging and it is right to oppose it. Also, Parliament has sovereignty, and referenda are non-binding and it is Parliament's right to act on them how they see fit.

If the votes of those who voted Remain were respected and an attempt to find a compromise position had been made by the last Tory gov (TM) ie. a soft Brexit, leaving the EU but part of the single market and customs union and protecting standards etc. then you might have had

I don't know. It seems to me she was giving him her support to have get the first shot at unifying. Others may not do so though. She was simply asking for reciprocal flexibility from him to support another candidate if this attempt failed. Quite smart and good diplomacy imo.

Who would you suggest could do this?

I think it would be quite difficult for Corbyn to have a more rightwing Labour MP to lead it - it would directly undermine his position. So, yeah I think perhaps one of the Tory defectors or Carolyn Lucas might be the most agreeable option.

I supported Remain but am OK with Labour's current stance. I don't think it makes sense to just Revoke Article 50. Labour are offering to negotiate a soft Brexit which is realistically where the referendum result lies and hold another referendum, which is the best way to stop it.

I wonder if they can find a compromise around the figures they have in a cabinet. I'm guessing there will have a cabinet in the temporary government? So Corbyn as PM but the rest Lib Dem, Tory defectors? Or if not Corbyn as PM then Labour Corbyn allies as cabinet.
