I briefly saw Gen. Miller while in Afghanistan this month. He has kept a low profile w/ media so far while making assessments of the mission. No strategy change is planned, but Miller will likely make changes within it. Has been traveling extensively on visits like this one.

In his final piece in the Washington Post, published yesterday, argued: “What the Arab world needs most is free expression” He was absolutely right. And it is not just the Arab world, but the whole Muslim world, from Turkey to Indonesia.

It's about time the administration pull all the plugs of support from the pro-Taliban government in Afghanistan. How ironic that anyone who stands against Ghani gets obliterated? ur all supporting a tyrant

Burying people alive, scooping out their eyeballs, running tanks over live people were only some of the talents of Najibullah and the puppet communist regime back in the days. Their war crimes put the worst of Taliban to shame.

The west and their westernized Afghans who are now running the country calling all others "warlords" tend to forget the war crimes of Najibullah and Co. Fortunately, there's a whole new young generation that still remembers the "civilized" secularists of Afghanistan.

Those who murder journalists are trying to kill freedom of expression. Jamal Khashoggi was subjected to a brutal, sadistic death, but we can ensure that his words don’t die with him. Please RT.

Tom Friedman’s latest op-ed keeps misunderstanding Saudi Arabia’s role and Islam. Saudi doesn’t speak, represent, symbolize, or even hold any reverence to Islam. It is the territory where holy Mecca is. That’s it!!! Saudi borders created 20th century. Islam a faith since 6th C!

Atta Noor's response is applicable to all other Afghans who've been banking on the outdated "warlord" narrative for too long. If they have the courage, let them go to the front lines and fight terrorism in Afghanistan, nor just criticize others who do have the courage.

Countries like mine - Afghanistan - always top the world's most corrupt nations. But if there was ever a list of world's most corrupt leaders, Trump would top that list.

This remains one of my favourite quotes. I first heard about it in one of the audio books years ago and it's been stuck with me ever since. Truth is, all we have is NOW! This moment,…

As Facebook deletes over 800 activist pages remember why it partnered up with the Atlantic Council: an attempt to ensure the grip of dominant imperialist powers, militaries, multinationals & banks who feel threatened by anti-establishment narratives.
