been getting asked this a lot and yes the Xbox Elite v2 will work with Scarlett in 2020 Im pretty sure all Xbox One controllers are forward compatible (at minimum bluetooth versions)

Does this mean that the controller feature set and XInput API will be stagnating or just that players can opt to use older hardware will less features? I'm mainly asking about an IMU here as the Xbox controllers are the only modern gamepads to not support gyro aiming.

its a good question but my guess is Xbox wont talk about any next gen controller functions until its been officially revealed next year

Does this mean there won't be any gyro controls with the next console? Really was hoping to have that featured for shooters, as it really helps the experience.

So I won't need to buy a new stick? Hallelujah.

Love the backwards compatibility! What about gyro on Scarlett? I've no doubt it'll continue to have the best sticks and triggers, which marginally improve the experience over a DS4, but since the DS4 has gyro it's on balance a far better PC controller:

That’s good. But hopefully the next controller will have most if not all features the DS5 will have. Making me extremely skeptical of buying an expensive Elite v2 at this time...
