Great to be at the relaunch of a classic children’s book in Central Children’s library. Especially when Author Theresa Tomlinson told the assembled audience of young people about Ethel making ‘oven bottom cakes’ for the steel men’s ‘Snap’

I LOVE libraries! When I was a poor kid with no tv and few toys, my great joy was to get as many books as I could to read after school and on the weekends. I hope kids still enjoy Aesop's fables, Laura Ingalls stories, poetry books and all the rest!

Doing some non-fiction book reports on some very bleak bits of recent human history. Thank goodness for for the cosy locale to write them in and the soundtrack for keeping things cheery in my ears.
