Fellow Teacher peeps, I'm thinking of creating videos of examples that pupils can watch to help with their homework. Are there any good sites (apart from Youtube) that you would recommend? Also if I do use Youtube, am I likely to get unsavoury adverts halfway through my video?

I'm thinking we might need a class trip to a theme park to demonstrate this properly πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

It's a shame we don't have a lift at school. I feel an experiment coming on. Wait there is a lift in block 4?

But R is the "balancing" force. So in this case R goes down?

That makes so much more sense. I'd got my head around it but I like having an explanation I can relate to. I will use this when explaining it to the ss

Both of these analogies are brilliant thank you! So R is variable depending on the acceleration

Our local area coordinator organised it for us. They spoke to our top sets and gave a talk on what jobs rely on a level maths. They also brought in someone who had a number of careers to answer questions. It really made them think. is our coordinator.
