This year is especially bad. Lower pay = less savings, making it harder to prepare for economic downturns like the one we're in now. 70% of restaurant servers are women, women make up the majority of grocery store workers. This downturn is already having real, measurable impacts

The Gender Pay Gap costs women, on average, $407,760 dollars over their lifetime. Black and Lantinx, and other women of color often earn even less, and this difference can cost them as much as $1,121,440 dollars over their lifetime. (2/3)
