When you "dunk" on someone, when you make mean spirited, superficial or unfunny remarks you don't just make that person and the people who like that person feel shitty. Every impression of that tweet has made the world seem less charitable and kind to the mind that witnessed it.

I see and love your point. I can’t help but notice that you may have also just described what some folks refer to as political correctness I.e. The best, most charitable, compassionate sjw arguments about a “don’t punch down” norm involve and cite these very reasons.
