let's say that considering the PITA it is, that we are going to move to a managed offering, most likely GCR since we are on GKE. Originally needed to control our own ACL for access and had separate set of users from GCP project.

see those two bug fixes in there which improve knative build scaling. You get them for 0$ , you have the choice to use that software or not, but as a bootstrapped founder I paid the bill out of my own pocket. Not free beer folks !!! Round is on me.
