TIL that RubyVM::AST was renamed at some point to RubyVM::AbstractSyntaxTree, which is all well and good except every blog post, talk, and document about the feature refers to it as RubyVM::AST. Felt real dumb for a while there.

To preempt WebKit exploits, if a Nintendo Switch downloads a system update, it won't let itself bring up a browser for WiFi captive pages until the update installs. But if you try to install the update, it'll connect to WiFi to sign the image, which will fail to open the browser

I wrote this script to manage my dotfles across projects easily by syncing the dotfiles across machines and just linking them into each git clone, so I never have to worry about which configuration or environment varialbles reside with which checkout. See:
