Today we extended our understanding of by making them with paper nets, marshmallows & toothpicks! students had to count vertices and edges to figure out the toothpick to marshmallow ratio!

Trying a multi-phase assessment process. Walking around and listening to the conversations during phase 1: so informative. Phase 2: Recall formulae, use math glossary, write steps to solve probs. Good results & Ss felt good about it too.
