Rep. Eric Swalwell Aug 3
1 year ago today, 23 people were killed & 22 others were wounded in when a violent white supremacist set out to kill Latino people. This act of hatred, motivated by xenophobia and made possible by lax gun laws, should never have happened. The Senate must pass now.

This conversation with a survivor of the massacre has been haunting me. She was a hero who saved others. She feels love, pain, hope and has a belief that the souls who were lost have not yet found peace.

1yr ago today a man got in his car & drove 600 miles to El Paso, TX w/the intent to, “kill Mexicans.” This anti-Mexican, racist act left 23 dead, 24 injured & a country in mourning. I hope the families of those murdered know how much we love them. Luz y paz , stay strong.

I’m the third generation of my family to roam this valley. And I often feel the essence of those who went before us out there with me. I wish I could explain it better than that. But there it is. , .

One year since the massacre, one of the worst US mass shootings that was explicitly fueled by anti-Latino ethnic hate, not a single of the major American newspapers have a remembrance on their digital front-pages. Brown lives ... help me finish this sentence?
