In 2004, Seabees began escorting vehicle convoys in Iraq. Before the MRAP, Seabees used the unarmored HMMWVV or “Humvee”. In our Global War on Terror gallery there is a Humvee that was used by the Seabees in Operations Desert Shield/Storm and Iraqi Freedom.
