To close this first part here's an awesome video from discussing the 10,000 hours concept and the usefulness of going to the gym and spending time outside the studio as well as inside.

When pitching for projects, playlists or radio send no more than three to five tracks. You need to have quality control on your product because it shows awareness and we might not want to hear 10 tracks straight from you. If we like them we’ll ask for more. /5

When sharing links from Google drive share the actual file link not an access link for a specific email. I access the email through another account so when people allow access to that one I have to re-login to that one specifically which is long. /4

. is a revolutionary for this because he has a google folder that he updates with all his new music for promo. I don’t even have to ask him when I need a track of his for my show, I can just use the same one link and find it in a folder. DO THIS. /3

When sending music out for promo send both a 320 kbps mp3 version and a WAV version. Most people don’t keep WAVs for the sake of file size but certain DJs cherish them. Sending both means those looking for mp3s don't have a big download. iTunes can convert to 320kbps. /2

Whenever you’re sending music for consideration (whether radio or live DJs) always include an easy download link, whether in the email or through SoundCloud. If we like a song we want to DL it without having to always reply, so make the process easier for us. /1
