You'd rather politicise this into SNPBad and see ScotGov pay for the tax and than simply support our care sector workers by also requesting that your bosses tax exempt their bonus? I guess you would've been happier getting them to pay for another wee Tory Care badge instead.

Some great ideas here to prevent job losses with ambitious infrastructure projects. Well done to the two Alexs!

Why are Tories not giving this to English and Welsh NHS workers if they like SNP policy so much that means they are claiming it.

If it was you lot of uncaring idiots in charge then all our care sector workers would have got is a chance to fork out their hard earned to buy themselves a Tory Care badge. There is literally nothing Scottish you will stand up and fight for.

Income tax is generally reserved under the Scotland Act by virtue of Schedule 5. Section 80C allows only for the Scottish Parliament to set rates for one tax year at a time. Power for exemptions is reserved. Are the Tories really going to pick the pockets of health care workers?

"Grossing up" utterly misses the point - it isn't an exemption and will still be taxed. Why? Because we can't set tax exemptions! The more we gross up, the more health and social care workers have to pay in tax. We're asking for a tax exemption.

The tax doesn't go to Edinburgh. It is collected by HMRC at rates set by the Scottish Parliament and goes into Treasury coffers. When the total take is known, about 18 months after the end of the tax year, it is measured against original forecast and any difference is reconciled.

I've just finished watching speech at and I'm honestly moved. I'm packing my bags and I'm serious, I have been thinking for quite a while of moving to Scotland. Let me get the vaccine and I'm on my way. Thank you .

We are appalled & disappointed that would use our charity image of our soup kitchen for political gain. He never contacted us & has never shown our charity any interest. didn't have the courtesy to acknowledge our charity in his tweet. Do u even know who we are?

Here’s the corrected version of my interview with Magnus Linklater in today’s ⁦⁩ - Joanna Cherry: We can disagree but independence is what matters. If not now, when? It’s good to talk.

You're just as bad as Tories are in your ignorance. Just another Brit nationalist who can't see the truth of Tory hate, corruption, lies and greed through your butchers apron blinkers. A 💩 stain that needs wiped off my country's arse.

Jesus wept man, the entire UK knows exactly where your party stands and how your inept party votes on free school meals. Plus your own Tory councillors in Aberdeen took food from school kids mouths during the pandemic. That brass neck of yours needs seriously wound in.

Years of ripping the UK apart with your Brexit, war on immigrants, war on the vulnerable and cutting services to the bone while spaffing £billions and threatening the future of devolution during a pandemic and throughout Scots future pandemic recovery. That's your Tory record.

Expect a tiny small print byline of an apology then you and your fellow rag bosses will still carry on begging Scots to buy your toilet paper. It wasn't an error, you knew exactly what you where and will carry on doing regardless.

I didn’t know how much Englishness had affected me until I moved out of England. For the majority of English people, Britain = England. British Airways too. Wales & Scotland exist obviously, but they’re just ‘regions of Greater England.’ Few will admit it, or question it.
