William McLelland served with the Regiment in Africa during WW2. When he died no relatives could be traced. The Regiment ensured he received the send off he deserved with full military honours. 🔵🔴🔵💂🏻‍♀️

The 5th (Ski) Bn SG was the British Army's first and only ever ski battalion. Formed in 1940 as a response to the threat of a winter war in Finland, soldiers trained extensively in the Alps in ski and snow survival skills. Today, albeit in very different circumstances.
