RCMP says operational issues led to stay of charges in Canada's largest ever alleged casino money laundering probe, E Pirate. Response indicates prosecutors in Ottawa decided to stay charges Nov. 22, two days after Global asked for status update + any "concerns with evidence" ?

"RCMP is conducting a full scale review to understand its activities which led to this stay." This is bad news, especially since sources say RCMP not able to investigate real estate money laundering believed to be related to transnat fentanyl dealers in Vancouver.

Wasn’t an MP just investigated, or being investigated, for laundering money through these casinos? Would he have been involved through that committee on voting to not charge?

Raj Grewal. Yep this is weird and Trudeau's office is giving fishy answers on Grewal. How high up does corruption go?

What sort of tinpot banana republic has Canada become? Totally demoralizing. A complete mockery of any semblance of justice.

We've always been a banana republic. When has our legal/judicial system ever dealt with complexity? Air India was a massive failing. The Surrey six trial has yet to be heard a decade after the fact. The Pickton inquiry smelled like a cover-up. Highway of tears...

There needs to be an independent investigation into the RCMP.. How deep does this rabbit hole go?? Peter German was Deputy Commissioner of the RCMP for a period of this time. Was he involved in this investigation in any capacity? What happened to the interview with Fred Pinnock?

Nothing says "C'mon in and launder some more" like not being able to convict criminals when caught.
