the guy who thinks it's cool to shove his dick in a drunk woman's face at a dorm party doesn't do it just once.

Read the book for the first time last month, and those trailers looked almost unrecognizable. Nice to hear there are sequels, though.

I found out after working at the Bon-Marché in Seattle that there was a heated rivalry about which Frangos were the *real* Frangos. Now Macy’s holds sway over them all.

I had a boss who drank that stuff fairly regularly. He’s the only real human I know of, though.

This is a great book. When I read some of the 2000s sequels to my daughter, I was really irritated to find that they’d taken out Lisa, his African American owner/friend, and moved the stories to suburbia.

God I loved rewatching that last year. That's the first movie I remember "sneaking in" to — I was 16, went with friends, and it fucked us up in a good way.

It is indeed. Technically a miniseries, but played the film festival as a long movie.

Lars von Trier's THE KINGDOM (cue film vs. TV contretemps), which screened as a five-hour movie at the Seattle International Film Festival in 1995, and was COMPLETELY FUCKING EXHILARATING. I'd have watched five more hours on the spot.

My (now) 8-year-old ended up watching them: Force Awakens Last Jedi Star Wars ANH Empire Return of the Jedi Phantom Menace Attack of the Clones Revenge of the Sith Related: Years later I agree that Sith was underrated, but the first two prequels are still junk.

Yes, it's a little weird to tweet about Cheers/SNL trivia today, but it's distracting me from the most recent Chrome update that makes it harder to turn on Flash, which I need to run some enterprise software for my current client, and god knows I didn't want to tweet about Flash.

(I'm a little surprised that Shelley Long has never hosted, nor even appeared on SNL at all.)

This just in: I misread the IMDb page for George Wendt. He has hosted SNL twice, which means that CHEERS has had six active cast members host. Seems unlikely that any other show has beaten that.

Now I'm wondering if I missed a recurrence in the '54 version. The '37 is on my to-watch-soon list.

I’d seen the trailer for the new one a billion times. Watched the Garland version for the first time a few days ago and said “ohhhhhhh” when that came up. (Mason doesn’t sound as creepy.)
