I'm pretty sure that if I were to get tackled by an NRL player my bones would explode

I'm 31 and am outrageously out of shape but still in the back of my mind I think I will play NRL

Lol. White people really do think they invented everything. "Modern elevated shoes were born in Paris, invented and then reinvented for western fashion." Heels were invented and worn throughout the Near East & Persia to make horse riding easier.

Harmony Day if harmony doesn't involve the destruction & dismantling of colonial structures then it is only harmony for yt people

How Harmony Day is celebrated seems to imply positive experiences with different cultures is enough to destroy white supremacy (which rarely gets mentioned or addressed) & lack of those experiences is what created it, not the justification for historical & current exploitation

Harmony Day like International Women’s Day and the direction of NAIDOC is co-opted by the dominant group, has its teeth ripped out and becomes celebratory and profitable rather than antagonistic. Fuck harmony

Sharing our food to promote Harmony Day while doing nothing to end racism aligns with the white supremacist idea that our culture exists to be consumed, coopted. The message has always been that they want to benefit from our culture, they don’t want us.

If you follow the racist stereotypes of Asian people in Australia it sort of tells the story of an immigrant who arrives in the 1980s, joined a violent triad gang but turned their life around to become a real estate development mogul with a PHD who is taking every job.

As I and many have said before archives & museums shouldn't just document bad history, they should prevent it from happening

If we are complicit in this cultural genocide, then we will remain a tool of colonisation and just an espouser of whiteness and we can't say otherwise

Us in archives & museums say we're about preservation & access of history, information & culture, but are we if we are not standing up against the destruction of the sacred Trees? If we don't stand up and assist protectors, then aren't we hypocrites?

Police pulled back after we told them no consent on our country. Thankfully we pulled together over 100 people in less than 24 hours to support. Thanks to the community from all over the country to responded to the call to action. This isn’t over

We really need people to go up to the trees today to protect our sacred trees. pulling this shit knowing a lot of us will be with Aunty Tanya’s directions hearing is a purposeful dog act.

I’m seeing a lot of stuff talking about how white people need dialogue and spend time with “diverse” people but please understand we may not want to spend time with you. Don’t feel entitled to it under the guise of your white heroes journey. Be less white. Unlearn your whiteness
