Received my Ph.D. degree in Law today from NLUO Cuttack on its 6th Convocation. It was a silent resolve of my days in IIMB in 2013. Happy that I could finally achieve it.

Called on Mr Abhash Kumar, ADGP, Prisons, Tamilnadu today at Chennai and discussed with him on various aspects of prison management in the state. Among other things the TN prisons manufacture & supply uniform fabrics and web equipment to TN police!

Prisoners of conscience- the makers of modern India. Pleasantly surprised to see these paintings of inmates on the wall of one of the oldest prisons of the country, Vellore Central Prison. Vinoba Bhabe, R Venkatraman, Rajgopalchari, Kamraj, Anna Durai ..

Brilliant recycling example; What looks like animal dung is actually the shredded & processed demonetised currency notes of the past and used as raw materials for manufacturing office files by the inmates of Puzhal Central Prison, Chennai!

Right. That’s every researcher’s objective: significance & outcome of the study in policy intervention. Hopefully, this study will contribute in those areas with enough applied utilities.

Yes, the discretion used by police is enormous. There is no close second in the criminal justice system. An area less researched in India. This is a study, first of its kind in the context of Indian police.
