This is not the time to protect one's ego. Truth is more important one's fragile feefees. Suck it up and explain how you were played. People will accept that. Otherwise you lose all credibility.

In summary: 1. The Rod Rosenstein "resigns" story was a trial balloon by the WH aided and abetted by & who reported WH source claims AS FACT without verifying/contextualizing how they might NOT be fact. 2. We'll do this again ON THE DAY OF THE KAVANAUGH HEARING.

Sure, ostensibly. Or Shine, Conway, Bannon, etc. Trump has always surrounded himself with morally bankrupt PR pros who are knowledgeable about govt, media, law, etc. They have willing partners within the MSM. Take notes on who does their bidding.

Seems like I was right, as new reports say Rosenstein is not going anywhere. Beware these reality TV-style stints and the propagandists who lay them out. They are laying groundwork and testing responses.

The entire hallway is in tears. We are at a moment in history where women have to repeat their trauma to the masses to literally beg Senators to vote with moral clarity.

Active player. They partnered with Steve Bannon, lied about Trump/Russia to extent that Christopher Steele got scared off, fired public editor who exposed lies, wrote puff pieces at the request and on terms of Trump family, mainstreamed fascism, etc. Too many examples to list.

He doesn't. Time was always the enemy. I'll never understand why officials didn't act *before* the election, but they didn't. What followed that failure was textbook autocratic consolidation, both dangerous and predictable. It needed an urgent response, but they did not deliver.

This is a clumsily choreographed prelude to a purge, with MSM lending itself to Trump for propaganda. The anon NYT oped, the in-house NYT propaganda on Rosenstein Friday, and today's reports all present Trump's delusions as fact while simultaneously playing down Trump's crimes.

So it looks like the *White House* is behind pushing reports Rosenstein has resigned, and Rosenstein’s camp is saying he will force the WH to fire him:

I'm just dropping the text I sent you in response to this news here so we don't lose our bearings in the spin. I think my gut reaction was right about what the Trump team are trying to do.

If the name Louisa Garry—one of Brett Kavanaugh’s Yale classmates disputing Deborah Ramirez’s sexual misconduct claim— looks familiar, it might because she was recently featured in a pro-Kavanaugh ad by 501(c)(4) "dark money" group Judicial Crisis Network

Any Senate Republican who knew about this second accuser last week but still tried to rush this nomination through should resign or be expelled immediately.

Yes, I have been predicting this as well. In part because the economy was already in bad shape; in part because Trump has repeatedly claimed he wants the economy to crash. Like here:

I'm no expert, and I've been predicting this since day one. It's intentional too. The wealthy with connections benefit from recession while every other single person loses one way or another. Recession this close to the last one, to Rs, will kill off even more of us peons too.
