Thanks to the friends who reached out privately to check on me in the wake of last night’s doxing. A public show of support is what I need right now— prove to the alt-right, terrified assholes that I am not alone. Thanks.

Many blacks in my peer group are making good money but because they’re the first person in their family to “make it”, they are still living paycheck-to-paycheck because their money isn’t just their money. Their money is mom’s light bill money, little bro’s football money, etc.

Most investors and corporations are still treating founders, employees and vendors who are women and people of color like either charity or an HR issue, instead of the untapped, overlooked and underestimated value proposition we truly are. Figure this out at your org to win.

Two young soccer players bought their mothers houses. Lovely story, right? Except one is Black and the other is white. Read headlines in British paper and then read Raheem Sterling explain Racism 101.

This GDI stuff is just another indicator to me that the whole tech feminist movement that peaked 3-4 years ago failed miserably because of white feminism.

I am a signee & a supporter of the following statement to the board: The inaction of GDI HQ in the face of a series of complaints about how women of color have been treated by the org -- at the chapter & HQ level -- is inexcusable. /thread

In the movies, we root and cheer for the teenage sex slave who violently escapes the brutal men complicit in her bondage. In the real world, we sentence her to life.

This Tweet brought to you by the memory of this date and the atrocities committed against Japanese Americans and how as a society we're way too comfortable putting people in cages.

me: I'm envious of people who can just talk without tons of preparation. I have to decide in advance exactly what words I'm going to say or it comes out as a horrible mess. : it's ok, you're a compiled language, not an interpreted language. I feel so vindicated.

True story: he did this for me. Tens of thousands of dollars of a pay gap (compared to my peers, who were all men) that I didn’t know about. When he became my manager, he made it whole in one fell swoop.
